Custom software developer for Chile: management systems for businesses in Santiago and the regions

I build custom management systems and websites for businesses in Chile, remotely from Argentina, on the same clock as Santiago or one hour apart depending on the season. They pay off most for mining contractors, distributors shipping across the regions and service companies.

Custom software developer for Chile: management systems for businesses in Santiago and the regions

If you need a custom software developer for a business in Chile, here's how I work: I build management systems and websites, remotely from Argentina, on the same clock as Santiago or one hour apart depending on the time of year. I work on my own, so you deal directly with the person building it.

This page is also for readers outside Chile: a foreign company that subcontracts to Chilean mining contractors, an owner who runs a Chilean business from abroad, or a manager who'd rather work in English. We can run the project in English while the system speaks Chilean Spanish to the people using it on the ground.

Chile is long, and that shapes the software. A Santiago company may have its office in one district, its warehouse in another and customers from the far north to Patagonia. A contractor in Antofagasta has crews at the mine site and admin in the city. The underlying problem is always the same: information sits far from whoever needs it.

Mining contractors: crews, equipment and paperwork

Antofagasta, Calama and the north are full of small companies serving the mining industry: maintenance, crew transport, installations, industrial cleaning, catering. Daily work comes down to knowing who's on site, which equipment is due for service, and what documentation the client mine requires.

Three pieces help, together or one at a time. An employee attendance app to track who started and finished each shift. Preventive maintenance software that warns you before equipment fails. And one place holding the documents for each worker and machine, so you don't rebuild the folder every time someone asks. Which records the client requires is for your safety team or advisor to define; I build the system to store and show them.

Santiago distributors shipping to the regions

A Santiago distributor sells to corner stores, hardware stores in the regions and companies, and ships with its own trucks or a courier. The questions that never stop are “do you have it in stock?” and “where's my order?”. If both get answered by digging through spreadsheets, the sales team loses the morning.

An inventory system for distributors that shows what's in the warehouse, plus an order tracking page so customers check their shipment themselves, covers much of it. If you're unsure whether it's time, read the signs your business needs custom software.

The regions: Concepción, Valparaíso and the south

Concepción has industry and technical service companies that need work orders and history per client. Valparaíso and Viña del Mar live on the port and tourism: agencies, restaurants and lodgings that need a clear site and direct bookings. The south, from Temuco to Puerto Montt and Chiloé, mixes tourism, aquaculture and builders of timber homes and cabins.

For those builders, a 3D configurator lets buyers design their home or shed and send a complete quote request. I wrote a separate piece on 3D configurators for manufacturers in Chile, and the Estructuras 3D blog covers 3D configurators for steel buildings in Chile. Real estate developers can look at 3D renderings and walkthroughs in Chile.

How we work remotely

We start with a video call to understand your operation. I send a written proposal in stages, and we start with the one that saves you the most time. You open each step from a link and sign off before we continue; day-to-day contact is WhatsApp or email.

You send your spreadsheets, forms and how the team works today; I deliver the system up and running, with a login for each person and a dashboard to manage it. Since the data is your company's, we also agree on where it lives and how it's backed up; more in backups for business software. Tax and legal matters, such as Chilean electronic invoicing or personal data rules, are for your accountant or a local professional to confirm.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a time difference between Chile and Argentina?

It depends on the time of year: Santiago is either on the same time as Buenos Aires or one hour behind. Either way we share the whole workday, so scheduling is simple.

Can the system issue Chilean invoices and receipts?

Electronic invoices and receipts in Chile have their own rules, and your accountant defines what applies to you. Usually the system connects to whatever you already use to issue them instead of replacing it.

Will it work at a remote site with poor signal?

It can be built for that: the app saves entries offline and sends them once the signal is back. We decide that at the start, because it changes how it's built.

What about workers' and customers' personal data?

Chile has personal data protection rules that apply to your company. Check with a local lawyer or advisor; I build the system so each person sees only what they should, with regular backups.

Your project

If you run a company in Santiago, Antofagasta, Concepción, Puerto Montt or anywhere in Chile, or manage one from abroad, and want to see what we could build, message me on WhatsApp at +54 9 11 6193-3176 or email contacto@facundocampo.com.ar. I answer in English and Spanish, and I quote each project separately. You can also use the [contact page](/en/contacto).
