Software developer in Uruguay: websites and systems for Montevideo and Punta del Este
I build websites, custom software and 3D walkthroughs for businesses in Uruguay, from Buenos Aires and on the same clock as Montevideo. Punta del Este real estate, seasonal businesses and small companies in Montevideo are where it pays off most.

If you're looking for a software developer for a business in Uruguay, here's how I work: I build websites, custom software and 3D walkthroughs, from Buenos Aires, on the same clock as Montevideo. I work on my own, in English or Spanish, with video calls and progress you open from a link.
Uruguay has its own rhythm. Montevideo carries most of the year, and in the summer season Punta del Este, José Ignacio, La Paloma and Colonia fill up with visitors from Argentina, Brazil and beyond. That shapes what each business needs. Maybe you own property there, run a business from abroad or are thinking of opening one. Let's go through it by industry.
Punta del Este real estate: selling and renting from a distance
In Punta del Este and along the Maldonado coast, the buyer or tenant is rarely in Uruguay when they make up their mind. They browse from Buenos Aires, São Paulo or Europe, compare properties and want good photos, floor plans, location and seasonal availability before they reach out.
A real estate website built for that has complete listings, filters by area (the Peninsula, Playa Brava, Manantiales, La Barra), availability for seasonal rentals and a WhatsApp button that goes to the agent handling that property. I cover it in website for real estate agencies. If the problem is internal, keeping properties, owners, leads and showings organized, that's real estate agency software.
For pre-construction projects: Recorrido 3D
Montevideo neighborhoods like Pocitos, Punta Carretas and Carrasco, and the coast too, see a lot of buildings sold before they're finished, and the buyer from abroad has to picture an apartment that doesn't exist yet. That's why I built Recorrido 3D, my product for interactive 3D walkthroughs: the buyer walks through the unit on their phone, checks the view and moves between rooms before construction is done.
Its blog has a piece on 3D walkthroughs in Uruguay and Montevideo.

A beach club, a restaurant in La Barra, a bike rental or a group of cabins in Rocha works flat out for a few months and at half speed the rest of the year. In high season there's no time to answer the same question over and over on WhatsApp.
For places that host guests, a website with direct bookings and visible availability saves a lot of messages: I explain it in website for small hotels and cabins. For restaurants, a digital menu you update from your phone when a dish runs out. And for everyone, a site in two languages if the customers come from abroad.
Small companies in Montevideo: from spreadsheets to real software
Outside the season, Uruguay's economy runs on small and mid-sized companies: distributors, accounting firms, workshops, service companies, retailers with several stores. The most common problem is the one I see in Buenos Aires: the business grew and the spreadsheets didn't.
Custom software puts orders, stock, customers and payments in one place, with a login for each employee. If you're not sure it's time, read signs your business needs custom software. And if you manufacture farm buildings, homes or structures, the Estructuras 3D blog has a piece on a 3D quoting tool for manufacturers in Uruguay.
Working with me remotely from Uruguay
Since we share the same time zone, working with me from Montevideo is close to working with someone down the street. We start with a video call so I understand your business, I send a written proposal, and then you follow progress from a link on your computer or phone. You sign off on each stage before we move on, and day-to-day contact is by WhatsApp or email.
What you send: photos, copy, your property or product list and how you sell today. What you get: the website or system up and running, with a dashboard so you can manage it yourself. I describe the process in working with a remote developer.
For invoicing, customer data or rules specific to your industry, check with a local professional. I build the software to fit whatever they tell you.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a time difference between Uruguay and Argentina?
No. Uruguay and Argentina share the same time all year, so setting up a call is like working with someone in your own city. Meetings happen during your office hours, no math required.
Can we meet in person?
The whole project runs remotely, over video calls, with progress by link and contact by WhatsApp or email. I only meet in person in Quilmes and the southern Buenos Aires suburbs.
Can the site be in Portuguese for visitors from Brazil?
Yes, if you provide the Portuguese copy: I write in English and Spanish. The site is set up so visitors pick their language and see everything translated, property listings included.
Can the system issue electronic tax receipts?
Usually it connects to the service you already use for invoicing instead of replacing it. What Uruguayan rules currently require for your business is something to check with your accountant.
If you run a real estate agency in Punta del Este, a seasonal business on the coast or a company in Montevideo and want to see what we could build, message me on WhatsApp at +54 9 11 6193-3176 or email contacto@facundocampo.com.ar.
