Web developer for Mar del Plata, Argentina: rentals, restaurants and seaside businesses
I build websites, booking systems and digital menus for vacation rentals, hotels, restaurants and shops in Mar del Plata, Argentina's classic beach city, working remotely from Buenos Aires. The goal: a site that handles the summer rush and keeps bringing in business the rest of the year.

If you're looking for a web developer for a business in Mar del Plata, here's how I work: I build websites, booking systems, digital menus and online stores, remotely from Buenos Aires, in English or Spanish. I work alone, with video calls and progress you open from a link.
Mar del Plata is Argentina's classic beach city, on the Atlantic coast south of Buenos Aires. Its summer runs from December to February, and the city gets packed. If you're reading this from abroad, there's a good chance you own a rental apartment there, run a small hotel or hostel for international travelers, or buy from a local seafood or knitwear company.
Renting out a beach apartment from abroad
Plenty of Argentines living abroad, and some foreign owners, keep an apartment in Mar del Plata and rent it out for the season. Managing it from far away usually means a relative or a local agent answering WhatsApp, prices sent as photos and no clear picture of what's booked.
A simple website for the property, with real photos, dates and rates, house rules and a booking request, puts the information in one place. A small private dashboard can show you, in English, which dates are taken and who's coming, while the person on the ground keeps working in Spanish. I describe the idea in custom admin dashboards.
Small hotels, hostels and surf schools
Travelers from abroad who come for the beach, surfing or the city's nightlife often book small places directly when they can find clear information in English. A website for small hotels and cabins with availability, photos of each room and a direct booking request gives you a channel without a middleman.
If you want the site in English and Spanish, I write both directly, so neither reads like a translation. More in bilingual websites for small businesses.
Built for the season and the rest of the year
In January and February the problem is volume: messages at all hours, most asking the same things. A site that answers them before anyone writes saves you a lot of time when you're busiest, and a WhatsApp button with a pre-filled message brings the inquiry in organized.
The rest of the year, the city lives on weekend trips, conferences and residents. The businesses that keep showing up on Google in winter are the ones that didn't stop updating their site.
Restaurants by the port and downtown
Seafood restaurants at the port, craft breweries and ice cream shops change their menus and prices several times a season. A digital menu with its own dashboard updates instantly, and if you take orders for pickup, having your own online ordering keeps you from relying only on delivery apps.
A real digital menu case: Boca de Lobo
Boca de Lobo is a steakhouse with two locations in Buenos Aires. I built their website with a QR digital menu of over 250 items, promotions and locations, plus their own dashboard to change prices, dishes and promotions without calling a developer. For a seaside restaurant that changes its menu between high and low season, it's exactly what's needed.

Mar del Plata is also known for its knitwear industry and its fishing port. If you buy from a local company, or you are one, you probably need a clear catalog and a simple way to request a quote, ideally in English. A B2B customer portal lets repeat buyers see products and place orders without long email chains.

Time zones and how we'd work
Argentina is on UTC−3 all year. Depending on the season, that's 1 to 2 hours ahead of New York, 3 to 4 hours behind the UK and 4 to 5 hours behind Spain and central Europe. We start with a video call, I send a written proposal, then you see progress by link and sign off on each stage. Since the season starts in December, the best time to begin is our winter or spring. The code, the domain and the logins are yours. More in working with a remote developer.
Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to build the site?
Before the season, with time to spare. Summer in Argentina runs from December to February, so starting in our winter or spring gives the site time to show up on Google when people start planning trips.
Can I change seasonal rates myself?
Yes. I leave you a dashboard to change rates, menus, promotions and photos whenever you want, without depending on me.
Can guests pay a deposit on the site?
An online payment for the deposit can be added, or the booking can be confirmed on WhatsApp with a bank transfer. How to handle invoicing for those deposits is worth checking with a local accountant.
Do we need to meet in person?
No. I work over video calls, with progress you open from a link and contact on WhatsApp or email, in English or Spanish.
