Software developer for Swiss companies: mountain tourism, chalets and industrial suppliers

I build multilingual websites, custom software and 3D tools for Swiss companies that work in English, remotely from Buenos Aires. It fits mountain tourism businesses, chalet developers and industrial suppliers that sell to other companies.

Software developer for Swiss companies: mountain tourism, chalets and industrial suppliers

If you're looking for a software developer for a company in Switzerland and your team works in English, here's how I do it: websites, custom software, apps and 3D tools, built remotely from Buenos Aires, with video calls and progress you open from a link.

Switzerland is a special case: four national languages, and plenty of companies in Zurich, Geneva or Basel that already run in English every day. I work in English and Spanish; German, French or Italian versions of a site are built with copy your team provides. With that out of the way, here's where my work pays off most.

Mountain tourism: hotels, rental shops and ski schools

The Swiss Alps are full of family-run hotels, holiday apartments, shops renting skis and bikes, and ski schools. Nearly all of them host visitors who speak different languages and want to book from their phone before they arrive.

For a rental shop, equipment rental software shows what's available each day, takes the booking and flags when every item is due back. For a hotel or a chalet you rent out, a site of your own with availability and direct inquiries, as I explained in website for small hotels and cabins. And in both cases, the site in several languages: more on that in bilingual website for small business.

Chalets and new developments: sell before you build

Chalet and apartment developments in mountain areas are often sold before they're finished, and frequently to buyers who live in another city or another country. Those buyers can't visit the site every month, and they have to picture a place that doesn't exist yet.

An interactive 3D walkthrough lets them explore it from their phone: the rooms, the view, the finishes. I wrote about it in this piece on selling cabins and vacation resorts pre-construction. If you're torn between a walkthrough and a video, see 3D walkthrough or video to sell property.

Industrial suppliers and B2B companies

Switzerland is known for precision industry: components, instruments, machines, parts for other manufacturers. These are suppliers selling to other businesses, with long technical catalogs and customers who reorder the same items every so often. A B2B customer portal helps here: each customer sees their products, technical documents and order history without emailing anyone.

If you're in timber construction, joinery or structures, a 3D configurator lets the customer build what they need and send you a complete order, much like a modular home configurator.

Real case

A real case: Recorrido 3D, my product for pre-construction sales

I don't have clients in Switzerland. The closest thing to what a chalet developer needs is Recorrido 3D, my own product for interactive 3D walkthroughs that help sell homes and apartments before they're built. Buyers open it on their phone or computer, walk through the rooms and see how the place will look, with nothing to download. It works just as well for a city apartment block as for a cluster of chalets in the mountains.

Working with me remotely from Switzerland

Switzerland is 4 to 5 hours ahead of Argentina, depending on the time of year. When it's 9 a.m. in Buenos Aires, it's 1 or 2 p.m. in Zurich or Geneva: calls fit into your afternoon, and I keep building after your day is over.

I know Swiss companies expect things to work and to last. So the process is orderly: a call to understand the business, a written proposal, progress by link that you approve before we move on, and at the end a system with backups and a clear agreement on what maintenance includes. You send copy, photos, catalog and rules; you get working software and a dashboard to run it.

Switzerland has its own rules on data protection, invoicing and accessibility, which differ from the EU's in places. Check with a local professional and I'll build the software around their advice.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work in German, French or Italian?

No, I work in English and Spanish. The site can have whichever German, French or Italian versions you need, with copy from your team or a translator; I build the structure so every language is complete.

What's the time difference?

Switzerland is 4 to 5 hours ahead of Argentina, depending on the time of year. My mornings line up with your afternoons, which is when we hold video calls.

What if something breaks and you're far away?

Same as if I were in your city: you message me on WhatsApp or email and I fix it remotely, which is how almost every fix happens anyway. The system has backups and, if you want, a maintenance plan agreed from day one.

How does data protection work in Switzerland?

Switzerland isn't part of the EU and has its own data protection law. Check with a local professional; I build the software to meet whatever they specify.
