Software developer for Mendoza, Argentina: wineries, wine tourism and lodges
I build websites, custom software and online stores for wineries, tour operators and lodges in Mendoza, Argentina, working remotely from Buenos Aires. The usual asks: English and Spanish websites for visitors, tasting and tour bookings, and a wine shop of your own.

If you're looking for a software developer for a winery, a tour company or a lodge in Mendoza, Argentina, here's how I work: I build websites, booking systems, online stores and custom software, remotely from Buenos Aires. I work alone, in English and Spanish.
A lot of the people searching for this in English aren't in Mendoza full time. Some own or co-own a winery or a vineyard estate and manage it from the US, the UK or Europe. Others run wine tours or lodges for foreign visitors. Either way, you need a site that speaks to international guests and a setup your local team can actually run.
Your website is where the visit starts
In Luján de Cuyo, Maipú or the Uco Valley, many visitors choose which winery to visit on their phone, the night before or in the car. If your site doesn't say clearly what tastings you offer, how long they take, whether you need a reservation and how to get there, they'll head to the winery next door.
What usually works: one page per experience (tour, tasting, lunch), with real photos, days and times, and a booking request that arrives organized. If you host events or weddings, an event venue booking system keeps dates and inquiries in one place.
Copy that reads like it was written in English
A visitor from the US or the UK can tell a machine translation right away, and the winery loses part of what makes it special. I write the English version directly in English, and the Spanish one in Spanish, so both sound natural. If you also want Portuguese for Brazilian visitors, a translator provides that copy and I build the site to carry all three. More in bilingual websites for small businesses.
Running it from abroad
If you're an owner who lives outside Argentina, the hard part is often visibility: bookings, sales and inquiries are spread across your manager's WhatsApp, a spreadsheet and an email inbox. A simple custom dashboard can show you bookings for the week, sales from the shop and pending inquiries, in English, while your team works in Spanish.
I explain the idea in custom admin dashboards. It doesn't need to be big: starting with bookings and sales in one place already changes how you manage from a distance.
Selling wine from your own site
Many small and mid-size wineries sell through distributors and wine shops, but they also have guests who visited and want to order again. An online store of your own, with delivery zones and a wine club for regulars, keeps that relationship direct. See online stores for wine shops and customer loyalty programs.
Selling and shipping alcohol has its own rules in Argentina and in every destination country, so check with a local accountant or advisor before opening sales.
A case with a catalog and a page per piece
In a different field, the painter Pérez Palermo has a website with his catalog of works organized by period and a page for each work, which he uploads himself. For a winery, the logic is the same: product lines as “periods” and each label with its own page (varietal, vintage, tasting notes, pairings), updated by your team whenever a new release comes out.

Beyond wine, Mendoza lives on mountain tourism: high-mountain excursions, rafting, horseback rides and trekking. Operators get inquiries on WhatsApp in several languages and plan each trip by hand; a booking system with daily capacity sorts that out. For lodges and cabins, a website for small hotels and cabins adds a direct booking channel.
If you're selling a resort or a vineyard estate before it's built, Recorrido 3D lets buyers walk through it on their phone. Its blog covers 3D renderings and walkthroughs in Mendoza.
Time zones and how we'd work
Argentina is on UTC−3 all year. Depending on the season, that's 1 to 2 hours ahead of New York, 4 to 5 hours ahead of California, 3 to 4 hours behind the UK and 4 to 5 hours behind central Europe. We start with a video call, I send a written proposal, then you see progress by link and sign off on each stage. The code, the domain and the logins are yours.
Frequently asked questions
Can my team in Mendoza use the system in Spanish while I see it in English?
Yes. Screens can be in Spanish for local staff, and your dashboard and reports in English.
Do you write in Portuguese too?
No, I write in English and Spanish. If you want Portuguese for Brazilian visitors, a translator provides the copy and I build the site to carry it.
Will direct bookings replace travel platforms?
They don't have to. Your own site adds a direct channel where bookings come in without a middleman, while platforms keep bringing you visitors.
Can I sell and ship wine abroad from the site?
The store itself can handle a catalog, orders and delivery zones. Shipping alcohol, especially across borders, has rules on both ends, so check with a local accountant or trade advisor before offering it.
